My daughter, Martha, was diagnosed with metastatic Ewing’s Sarcoma in August 2015. She was declared cancer free in April of 2016 after eight months of treatment which included: surgeries, chemo, radiation, blood transfusions, platelet transfusions, and hospital stays.
As many of you know, Martha relapsed almost a year ago in August of 2017, with metastasis in her lungs. This was just weeks after she completed the 2017 Courage Classic. We were devastated to say the least. As her twin sister went off to the first day of 10th grade, Martha went in to surgery to remove one of the tumors. And to have a port placed, once again. So, the battle continues. Most recently, she finished 6 weeks of radiation on June 19th. Martha continues to stay positive and keeps her “kick ass” attitude. We could not have done it without the help of Children’s Hospital Colorado. If I have met my fundraising goal of $300, please consider contributing to Martha. She is still working on her goal of $10,000. She raised over $25,000 last year! Please donate to her campaign by going to her personal Courage Classic fundraising page and searching for her by name.
