Hi Wheels Riders,
So much is happening in this sunny start to Spring!
First and foremost, I know many of you are eager to learn about the child we are honoring in 2024. We are very proud to have the opportunity to tell you all about Will Maniatis, and The WillStrong Foundation. Come to the party on Thursday, April 18th, and learn just who he was, and the legacy created in his name. When you think of Children’s hospital you think of kiddos and “children”, caring for grade school kids and toys and supplies to keep them busy. As many of you know, Children’s Hospital treats patients well into their 20s and sometimes beyond. Will was a young man, I think we can all tell you stories of being 15 and I am pretty positive we would not have called ourselves kids at the time. Claudia, Will’s mom, has been a great voice and advocate for blood cancers, treatment options and overall support for young adults as well as the kids under 10. I cannot summarize the impact that Claudia has made with the help of her community and dedication, I encourage you to come by and ask her all about it! Like me, Claudia doesn’t hold anything back 🙂
Next up, Earth Angel Charities, and PayTech are here again in 2024 as our leading sponsor at $25,000. Over the past 10 years Jan Allen and PayTech have donated, championed and volunteered in support of Wheels of Justice and Children’s Hospital Colorado. PayTech was founded in 1999 by Jan and they are thrilled to have just celebrated their 25th year of business. From the very beginning Jan knew that she wanted a percentage of all revenue to be donated back to the community. She has been unwavering in her commitment and her support of those in need. As PayTech celebrated their 15th anniversary in 2014, it was time to create something new. In 2016, Earth Angel Charities was born, a philanthropic arm of an already philanthropic culture.
With a commitment to children and a love for music, this partnership was a match made in heaven.
