The Courage Classic Ride Returns July 20-21
Hey Wheels Team,
We are down to the final few weeks before returning to beautiful Copper Mountain. Now is a great time to send out those fundraising emails and meet your goals, and then raise your goals and do it again! We are just shy of $200,000 in fundraising and we have always been a 4th quarter team. So, time to kick it into gear and start asking for donations.
I have had a lot of people complain about the process of donating on the website, and the long payment platform etc. I wanted to really urge you to link your facebook fundraiser to your participant center to collect donations in a few short clicks. Or even better if people are okay with you doing the work for them, use your venmo. Have friends and family venmo you directly and then you can make a quick single transaction. I am hopeful there will be updates to this next year, but for now, this is my best suggestion.
As motivation, I will tell you that I received most of this year’s gear on Monday and will be sending packets out to those who have reached their minimums beginning next week!!! If you have not reached your commitment, we will not mail your gear.
With the remaining weekends in June we will be continuing to bulk-up and start some higher climbing training rides. This weekend’s ride is Boulder to Ward via Left Hand Canyon, meet-up 7:30 departing at 8am. We recommend bringing three water bottles and lots of sunscreen as it will be very hot! Details here. Future training rides below.
Thanks,
Amber
