Hey Wheels,
Thank you for another marvelous Courage Classic Tour, I hope you loved it as much as I did. You should feel overwhelming accomplishment for riding any course that challenged you. Each participant, big or little, rider or volunteer, has a very important impact in this cause. Many of us have come to the event to give back to Children’s Hospital Colorado, whether because of cancer, or care of your children, or just the simple good that a hospital for kids does. What we might not have realized was the very cause we joined to help others can be tremendously helpful to ourselves.
For all of you who aren’t sure what “Earth Angel” is, allow me to open your minds. Earth Angel is the philanthropic arm of PayTech, Jan is passionate about music and with Earth Angel they fund and promote bands as well as sponsor music related events that help raise money to assist deserving charities. Namely Wheels of Justice and Rock by the Sea. “It’s our goal to bring people together for the love of music. We aspire to transfer that love into means that can help children in need.” Jan specifically schedules Earth Angel Fest after the Courage with a little time left so we can capitalize on the momentum of the event. We would love to see more riders at this concert/festival as our stories and first hand experience will always open those donor’s wallets more quickly! Also, it is an absolute blast!!! (Details below)
We are at $599,901 as of this morning. Chasing our $600k with all our might! Chilren’’s just announced Alpine Bank will be matching online donations again beginning Thursday 8/8. Now is a great time to remind all those “promisers” that they can hurry and donate before the year is over!
I would also like to thank Claudia, Jack, Stathi and all the Maniatis family for sharing Will’s life with us. It is no small challenge to talk about a son that died of anything but especially cancer, and especially way too soon. I’m sad that I never met Will, but today, I do feel I knew him. Even just a little.
Thank you,
Amber
