In 2024, Wheels of Justice set a new fundraising record, raising an astounding $3,672,602 for the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Children’s Hospital Colorado.

Some of you are the type to wake up on July 19th, hop on your bike, and be ready to conquer that wall (we secretly envy you). But for most of us, there’s a lot more that goes into this ride. It’s not just about the pedaling—it’s the preparation, the dedication, and the purpose behind it.

Why do I ride?
It’s a question we ask ourselves over and over again, and the answer is deeply personal. As a team, we come together year after year to share our stories, our challenges, and our triumphs(and a lot of tears) . We ride for more than just the physical challenge; we ride to honor the cause that unites us, and in doing so, we share our tears and our strength in solidarity.
Wheels is a family that climbs these mountains together as one—well, almost one (except Claudia, but we’ll try to catch her next time). And let’s not forget, we ride to raise funds for a cause that matters deeply to us all. But before we can raise money for that cause, we first need to cover the costs of putting on this ride. It takes a lot to organize this well-oiled operation, which we lovingly call Amber’s Adult Summer Camp or The Courage Classic.
